The Robert-A.-Boyd Historic Park is more than just a park since it is also home to the G-68 exploration camp. This tent village is a reconstitution of what used to be the home of the 185,000 people who worked on the construction of the La Grande mega hydroelectric complex.
Between 1950 and 2000, these pioneers participated in the clearing of the site, the construction of the James Bay Highway and the building of the Radisson dams and hydroelectric power stations. Young people 12 to 20 years old contributed to the reconstitution of the historic camp, under the supervision of former workers. Come dive into the atmosphere of yesteryear and pay tribute to these electricity pioneers.
